A Common Condition You Haven’t Heard Of: Small Fiber Polyneuropathy
This program provides an update on a not-so-rare condition associated with chronic pain, small fiber polyneuropathy. In addition to describing the condition, methods of assessment and treatment are discussed. A case study designed to highlight the diagnosis and treatment options of small fiber polyneuropathy will also be presented.

Charles E. Argoff, MD, is professor of neurology at Albany Medical College and director of the Comprehensive Pain Center at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Argoff is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the American Pain Society, among other professional organizations. He is the president of the American Academy of Pain Medicine Foundation Board. He is an editor of the textbook Raj’s Practical Management of Pain, fifth edition. He is the co-author of Defeat Chronic Pain Now, a book for people with chronic pain. He is co-editor of the third edition of Pain Management Secrets.
